Ibiza & ME

When my wife said she was going for a girls weekend in Ibiza I suggested I would join her for an extra 3 days.

Thankfully at the grand old age of 49 I was happy to find a hotel that was not only 5 star , great value but very cool too ( just like me!)

The ME Ibiza ( part of the Melia hotel group of hotels) is a lively , trendy and cool place to stay. The hotel is situated about 25 minutes from Ibiza town and other big attractions of Ibiza. This shouldn’t put you off the hotel other than the cost of taxis if you are planning a clubbing nightlife. The hotel shares a seafront with the famous beach club Nikki Beach and this adds to the daytime pull for the hotel residents, as you can simply pop across ( 10 yards away) to take part in a daytime party at this exceptional club with brilliant music and food available all day.

The Rooftop pool has Incredible sunset views and panoramic view over the bay that the hotel nestles itself into. We spent an hour watching the sun go down on the roof, a beautiful place to be.

Staff - They were attentive, friendly and happy to be help in any way they could. The breakfast was 5 star plus and their Pizza’s are known around the island as being the best! ( I tried one for survey purposes only – bloomin fantastic!)

The rooms were chic , trendy , cool , all similar sizes and you paid extra for a better view.

Families ? Not so great for families with young children even though they do have a private pool for kids their main pool is not a place kids are allowed.
