Family Breaks Cards - Terms and Conditions


These Terms & Conditions cover the Inspire Family Fund Breaks Card and Refund Cards (‘Family Fund Breaks Card’) which are issued by Inspire Europe Ltd (Inspire). Inspire operate an ABTA, ATOL and IATA licensed travel agency. Bookings made with Inspire using the Family Fund Breaks Card as forms of payment are also subject to the booking Terms & Conditions which are made available at time of booking. Inspire reserve the right to cancel any booking without the right for a refund where any of the conditions have not been met.

Period of validity

Family Fund Breaks Card are valid for a period 183 days from the Grant Award Date, unless a shorter validity is printed on the card or advised to you upon issuance of the Family Fund Breaks Card in which case the shortest validity date applies.

Balance enquiries and card validity can be obtained online or by calling the number displayed on the Family Fund Breaks Card. Alternatively, these can also be obtained by calling 44 (0)161 440 6620.

Family Fund Breaks Card should be treated as cash; they are not cheque guarantee, credit or charge cards. Inspire will not accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged Family Fund Breaks Card.


Family Fund Breaks Card can be used as a form of payment using the methods shown on the gift card or e-gift card for new travel bookings sold by Inspire only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other Family Fund Breaks Card, Gift Card, travel provider, travel voucher or promotion. The name of the Main Carer, as well as the Grant Recipient, must be on the booking, and both named individuals must travel together for the entirety of bookings made using the card.

Standalone Flight, Cruise, Eurotunnel or Ferry products may be booked when using a Gift Card and e-gift card as a form of payment but may attract a booking fee which will be advised at the time of booking. Further travel product limitations may apply.

Family Fund Breaks Card may be used to make new bookings for travel products of a higher price than the amount on the card, on payment of the difference.

Family Fund Breaks Card can only be redeemed on new bookings and cannot be exchanged for cash or used to pay any other products, outstanding balances on an existing booking or to buy another gift card or e-gift card.

If a booking with a Family Fund Breaks Card is subsequently changed or cancelled, any money owing will be refunded back to the original form of payment(s) used to make the booking.

Illustrative Example: a calculated refund of £600 due to cancellation on a £1,000 payment for a booking, where £200 (20%) was paid with a Gift Card, and £800 (80%) was paid on a credit card, would result in £120 (20% of calculated refund amount) refund on to the original gift card used on the booking and £480 (80% of calculated refund amount) refund back to the original payment card used.

If you do not spend the entire balance on the Family Fund Breaks Card, the remaining balance will be updated after each transaction.


Family Fund Breaks Card cannot be returned or refunded.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

Inspire Europe Ltd reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of Family Fund Breaks Card at any time and to take appropriate action, including the cancellation of the card, if, in its discretion, it deems such action necessary.
