After being collected from your hotel, you’ll leave Chiang Mai behind and head 60km north to an elephant camp.

Here you’ll have the opportunity to watch as these colossal beasts perform amazing feats of strength with surprising delicacy.

Then it’s your turn to ride on an elephant, on a trek into the jungle through hanging creepers and past bamboo trees, up into a Lisu hilltribe village.

The Lisu people were originally from Tibet and their villages are usually to be found high-up in the mountains at around 1,000 metres.

Here you can enjoy a delightful local lunch (included) before heading to the river for a relaxing bamboo raft-ride.

On the way back to Chiang Mai, you’ll stop at an orchid farm in Mae Sa which boasts year-round spectacularly colourful blooms.

At the end of the tour, you’ll be dropped-off at your hotel.
